NZ Airports submission on Resource Management Amendment Bill

NZ Airports has provided a submission to Parliament’s Environment Committee on the Resource Management (Consenting and Other Systems) Amendment Bill.

We submit in support of the Bill, in particular its provisions to facilitate renewable energy
development and streamline consenting and designation processes, subject to some refinements which we recommend for the Committee.

Critically, we request an amendment to the definition of ‘long-lived infrastructure’ in the Bill to ensure airport infrastructure is captured.
