CEO Resigns from Nelson Airport

05 May 2024

Mark Thompson, CEO of Nelson Airport, is stepping down from his role to move into consultancy work and spend more time with family. During his tenure, Mark revitalized the airport after the Covid-era travel decline, with over 900,000 annual passengers. Mark leaves behind an effective team, a vision for a zero-emissions airport, and improved stakeholder relationships. Mark’s departure is set for July 2024 and the recruitment of a new CEO will commence soon. On behalf of the NZ Airports community, thank you for your contribution to the industry – we wish you all the best with your future plans.
