Call for nominations – CAA Aviation Community Advisory Group
The Aviation Community Advisory Group (ACAG) consists of twelve members drawn from across the wider aviation community to provide technical and strategic advice to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on issues arising within the aviation system. ACAG’s members reflect the range of interests in the aviation community, and facilitate the development of a cross-community view on issues.

The group has nine permanent members (representing air traffic control, airlines, pilots, engineers, airports, the aviation industry, general aviation, aircraft owners and operators) and three elected members.
Since its inception in 2005, ACAG has pursued the enhancement of aviation safety in New Zealand by monitoring progress of rules and policy issues and promoting the participation of interested persons in the issue assessment process. Meetings are held 3 times per year with CAA during which ACAG is able to identify issues to be addressed by the CAA, assess the priority of issues, and also provide aviation community advice and technical expertise on the implementation of both regulatory and non-regulatory interventions.
Following a resignation, there is a vacancy for one elected member on the Group. Nominations are being sought for this position. Nominations should be submitted now using the form below. Nominations will close on 28 November.
Should an election be necessary, an ACAG Election Forum will be held at the Rydges Wellington Airport Conference Rooms on Friday 12 December at 9:30am immediately following the New Zealand Aviation Federation Annual General Meeting.
If you have any questions about ACAG and the nomination process, please reach out to the ACAG Deputy Chair Billie Moore at billie.moore@nzairports.co.nz.
